Can laminate flooring be installed over existing flooring?
Yes, floating floors can often be installed over existing flooring. We’ll review your space during the estimate to confirm.
How should I prepare for installation or sanding?
Please clear the work area of furniture and belongings before our arrival. Plan to be out of the home for 3–4 days during the coating process.
When can I walk on the floor after refinishing?
  • Next day: light walking with socks only.
  • First 7 days: light traffic, no vacuuming or cleaning.
  • Keep pets off if possible.
  • Wait 48 hours before placing furniture back (do not slide it).
  • Wait 7 days before laying rugs (to allow finish curing).
Do you dispose of old flooring?
Yes, disposal is available for an additional fee.
Who moves the furniture and appliances?
Customers are responsible for moving furniture and appliances, often into a garage or storage space during work.
Does new hardwood flooring need to acclimate?
Yes. Flooring is delivered the week before installation and stored inside your home (not the garage). This allows the wood to adjust to your home’s humidity and ensures a stable, lasting installation.
